Who We Serve

As a non-profit community health center located in the heart of Cleveland, we work every day to eliminate health disparities facing individuals living in extreme poverty. At Care Alliance we believe that everyone deserves quality health care and we strive to exemplify that belief in all that we do.

With our team of passionate and committed staff, we provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that lessens barriers to care and recovery facing our patients: individuals experiencing homelessness, living in or around public housing and living with HIV/AIDS. In 2011, Care Alliance provided services to 9,615 individuals through 34,506 visits.

Often when our patients first come to us, they are very sick. Because so many of them live with incomes below 100 percent of the federal poverty level, and have no health insurance, they often postpone accessing health care until they can not ignore their symptoms any longer. As a result of going without care for extended periods of time, 43 percent of our medical patients have a diagnosed chronic illness (hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, etc.) and 90 percent of our dental patients have gum disease.
