Who We Serve
As a non-profit community health center located in the heart of Cleveland, we work every day to eliminate health disparities facing individuals living in poverty. At Care Alliance we believe that everyone deserves quality health care and we strive to exemplify that belief in all that we do.
With our team of passionate and committed staff, we provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that lessens barriers to care and recovery facing our patients: individuals experiencing homelessness, living in or around public housing and living with HIV/AIDS. In 2015, Care Alliance provided services to 12,178 individuals through nearly 50,000 total patient visits.
Often when our patients first come to us, they are very sick. Because so many of our patients live with incomes below 100 percent of the federal poverty level, they often postpone accessing health care until they can no longer ignore their symptoms. As a result of going without care for extended periods of time, over 40 percent of our medical patients have a diagnosed chronic illness (hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, etc.) and nearly 90 percent of our dental patients have gum disease.
