Gifts In Kind – Donations to Care Alliance Health Center
If you walked a mile in his shoes, you’d know how much he needs new ones.
You never really understand the value of a good pair of boots until you see the feet of a homeless patient suffering from severe frostbite. This unfortunate circumstance happens every year at Care Alliance, where nearly three quarters of our patients are experiencing homelessness. The long, icy winters and hot, humid summers are hard to endure. Being exposed to the elements is more than a discomfort for our patients; it’s a significant health risk.
But with the generous support of individuals, schools, religious and civic organizations, we can make the weather a little easier to bear. During the summer, we collect items like sunscreen and insect repellant. In the winter, we especially need warm socks, blankets, waterproof boots, coats and gloves.
Share some warmth this holiday season.
Join us in collecting socks, hats and gloves through the winter months. Please drop off items Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at our office at 1530 St. Clair Avenue. Unfortunately, donations can not be accepted outside of business hours.
Post a Winter Clothing Drive Flyer! To organize a drive with your work, school or place of worship, or to donate any items not on our wish list, please contact Evan V. Goldstein at 216.781.6228 x 263 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. We accept donations on a year-round basis.
