Substance Abuse Counseling

Modern Healthcare Service

Counseling helps to reduce harmful consequences associated with maladaptive (poor ways of coping) compulsive behavior. This applies to mental health and substance use disorder. Studies show when counseling is combined with medication to improve mood or reducing physical urges for substances, success in recovery is greatly enhanced. Therapists provide primary care counseling and make referrals for more specialty counseling services.
